The Leadership Huntsville/Madison County's Connect Alumni Association held its 3rd Annual Rocket City Chili Cook-Off on November 17, 2012 at the National Children's Advocacy Center Campus.

Aside from great food and fabulous fellowship, the chili cook-off was a worthwhile event because all proceeds benefited the National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) and the Connect ALL Scholarship Fund through Leadership Huntsville/Madison County (LHMC).

Leadership Huntsville /Madison County identifies proven and emerging leaders and educates them about resources and issues in our community in order to inspire them to be agents of change in the community. These servant-leaders try to find solutions to local problems and seek opportunities to help organizations like the National Children's Advocacy Center which models, promotes, and delivers excellence in child abuse response and prevention through service, education, and leadership. The Chili Cook-Off last year raised over $6000 to help this cause.

Jenny Askins, director of the Leadership Huntsville Madison County, thanked everyone for their involvement. She said, “thank you all so much for your support of this great community. We had more teams this year than in past years. I know this event will be even bigger next year”!
